I’ve never actually eaten a lemon slice like that before, but now I kind of want to.

WHY ARE JALAPEÑOS SO UNRELIABLE???

Seriously. They’re either dead and lifeless like my cold, black heart, or like biting into molten lava like the fire that burns in my loins.

I don’t know what any of this means I’m delirious right now from the burning in my mouth and nose.

A Beginner’s Guide to Peanut Butter and Jelly

Recipe by Thomas, age 3.

Step 1: Wait until dad is in the shower. Don’t forget to wait until you can actually hear the water running, kids!

Step 2: Dump half of a jar of jelly into a jar of peanut butter. Mix well. With fingers.

Step 3: Spread the remaining jelly on the countertop, again, with your fingers, making sure to ruin any mail, or other important documents your parents may have left lying around.

Step 4: Take out two slices of bread, rip them up into little pieces, push them into the peanut butter and jelly mixture. Feed the rest of the loaf of bread to the dogs.

Step 5: Scoop out the pieces of bread with your fingers, and eat them, making sure to get as much of the peanut butter and jelly mixture on your face, clothes, and hair as you can.

Step 6: Put everything in the fridge. Peanut butter and jelly mixture, empty, sticky jelly jar, silverware, mail, any toys lying around. Everything.

Step 7: Dump out 50 piece puzzle on kitchen floor.

Step 8: Smile, and wait.

Taco Soup Recipe

Ok. Since SO many of you (3) asked for a recipe, here it is. I’m on my phone, and this is from memory, so try to bear with me.

Ingredients:

1 lb Ground Turkey

1 large onion, chopped

1 packet Ranch Dressing mix

1 packet Taco Seasoning

1 15.5 oz can Pinto beans

1 15.5 oz can Red Kidney beans

1 15.5 oz can Whole Kernel Corn

1 8 oz can Mexican Tomatoes (the kind with the jalapenos in them)

1 8 oz can Diced Tomatoes

Cook!

Add the onion and ground turkey to a large heavy pot or a dutch oven over medium high heat.

Cook until the turkey is browned and then drain.

Add the ranch and taco seasoning packets to the ground beef. Mix well.

Add the rest of the ingredients, undrained.

Simmer for an hour.

Fin.

I added about a cup of my homemade chicken stock for body, but that is a completely optional step.

If any of you are into Weight Watchers, one cup of this soup is worth 2 points.

I have no idea what that means.

Another good part to this meal is that it cost less than $10 to make.

Happy eating!

*Edited for clarity.

I know I don’t really post about the healthy things I make, but believe it or not, I DO make healthy meals most nights.

Like this one. Taco soup.

It’s delicious and good for you.

I meant to post this last night. It’s a variation of Spaghetti Carbonara with basil and rendered pork fat. Not as good as it would have been with bacon, but pretty damn good nonetheless.
